Piano Coaching Services
Durham Music Academy LLC provides private, 1-on-1 virtual piano instruction conducted entirely online via Zoom. Our services include customized theory mentorship, structured lesson plans, and professionally developed digital educational materials, all tailored to help you grow as a pianist at your own pace and on your own schedule.
Beginner
Foundational technique, note reading, and rhythm fundamentals for those new to the piano.
Intermediate
Expanded repertoire, music theory, chord progressions, and expressive performance skills.
Advanced
Complex compositions, advanced theory, stylistic mastery, and performance refinement.
Adults
Flexible, goal-oriented sessions designed around the unique learning needs of adult students.
Each program is thoughtfully structured around your individual skill level and musical goals. Whether you are picking up the piano for the first time or refining years of experience, our instruction adapts to meet you where you are.
Scheduling & Cancellations
Booking Sessions
Discovery calls and regular coaching sessions are scheduled in advance based on both instructor and student availability. All sessions are conducted virtually via Zoom, making it easy to connect from anywhere.
Punctuality & Attendance
Students are expected to arrive on time for all scheduled virtual Zoom sessions with their instrument ready to play. Arriving prepared ensures you get the most value from every lesson.
Rescheduling Policy
If you need to reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours advance notice so we can accommodate your schedule and make the session available to other students. Late cancellations or no-shows without prior notice may result in forfeiture of the scheduled session.
SMS & Mobile Messaging Terms
By providing your mobile number and opting in to text messaging from Durham Music Academy LLC, you authorize us to send you transactional text messages, including discovery call confirmations, lesson reminders, and scheduling updates. The following terms govern our mobile messaging program and are fully compliant with A2P 10DLC cellular carrier regulations.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your lesson schedule and appointment activity. You will only receive messages relevant to your enrollment and sessions.
Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Please consult your wireless provider for details regarding your plan's messaging rates.
How to Opt Out
You may cancel text messaging at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a final confirmation text, and no further messages will be sent thereafter.

Carrier Liability

Services Provided "As-Is"
All coaching services and educational materials are provided on an "as-is" basis for educational purposes. Individual student progress depends entirely on personal practice, dedication, and sustained effort outside of sessions.
Technical Interruptions
Durham Music Academy LLC shall not be held liable for technical interruptions, internet connectivity issues, device failures, or third-party platform downtime, including disruptions to Zoom or other video conferencing tools used to facilitate virtual sessions.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
While we strive to deliver the highest quality instruction available, we cannot guarantee specific musical outcomes or results. Student success is a collaborative effort between the instructor and the student.
Changes to These Terms
Durham Music Academy LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When changes are made, the revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
Continued Use
